Dr. Mohammad Riyad holds an S. JD degree, recognized as the highest degree in law offered by any law school in the nation. His scholarly contributions to legal research, including works submitted to the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona and to the Special Rapporteur for Indigenous Peoples at the United Nations Human Rights Council, have significantly enriched legal knowledge in his fields of expertise.
Dr. Riyad also earned a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco and a Bachelor of Law from Al-Ahliyah University in Amman, Jordan. In 2013, Dr. Riyad passed the New York Bar Exam (N.Y. Bar) and subsequently the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE). His intensive legal studies have shaped his personality, producing a sharp and true legal scholar in his field. Due to restrictions imposed by the Arizona Supreme Court on attorney admissions, which require each bar candidate to have a J.D. degree from an accredited American law school, Dr. Riyad was unable to sit for the Arizona Bar.
Consequently, he took the New York Bar, which precludes him from practicing in the state of Arizona. However, the scope of services provided by Dr. Riyad at Merit Solutions does not fall under these practice limitations. 20 Years of Experience Dr. Riyad established his first tax office in Phoenix, near the prestigious Biltmore area, in 2004. He specializes in tax return preparation for individuals, self-employed persons, small businesses, partnerships, corporations, and non-tax-exempt organizations.
Over his 20 years of practice, Dr. Riyad has assisted numerous individuals and entities in preparing and submitting their taxes. He has also guided many through IRS and state audit processes, tax settlements, abatements, balance forgiveness, and other tax-related matters. Additionally, Dr. Riyad is an expert in business planning, asset protection, and financial management.
